I moved to Tinley Park in Chicago back in September and was always curious where people in the area went fishing because there are a bunch of places that sell bait nearby. Little did I know that one of the fishing spots its only a few blocks away from me at Centennial Park. Can't wait to go fishing!
Cathy acting goofy before watching the movie "Up". The movie was good, probably the first Pixar film meant for adults as much as for kids. Dealt with serious themes that adults would get right away but put in a simple way that kids could enjoy.

My first pastie, a beef and rutabega one, from Colonel K's Pasties in Menomenee, Michigan. Pasties are typically meat and potato filled pies and are really only available in the Michigan UP. My first one was so good I took a frozen one to go to heat up at home.
A true campfire breakfast - pancake with a roasted marshmallow, piece of chocolate (we ran out of Hershey's bars) and a piece of bacon (new for 2009) all on a pancake.

Had dinner at this restaurant across the street from the Tinley Park - Oak Park Avenue Metra stop. The food was good (their ribs are pretty popular), definitely save room for dessert and order the tiramisu.
I pass by the same building on my normal route to the train station. I never noticed the shadow figures of people waiting for the El before until today when I decided to look up and pay attention to what was above me.
These things are so good! I remember back in the old college days pulling late nighters at the school library and getting one of these almond-filled goodies from the vending machines. The ones at Panera are so much better than any of the vending machine ones I ever had.
